Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping procurement, offering unprecedented opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced strategic decision-making. This paper explores the practical applications of AI in procurement through a case study of Biztran Solutions, an early adopter in the software development industry in India. Based on in-depth interviews, document analysis, and observational insights, this study delves into Biztran Solutions' experiences, examining the tangible benefits and challenges they encountered in their AI adoption journey. The findings offer valuable lessons and a practical roadmap for Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and similar organizations considering AI-powered procurement solutions, highlighting key success factors and potential pitfalls in "Navigating the AI Frontier”. This analysis also suggests that AI has the potential to drive sustainability in the organisation by optimizing resource utilization, minimizing waste generation, facilitating ethical sourcing, and enhancing supply chain transparency.
